Amit Anshumali

Prof. Amit Anshumali is trained as a Development Sociologist and obtained his PhD from Cornell. He has a dual Master’s in Agricultural Economics and Environmental Sciences from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining FSU, he taught in the MA Program in Social Sciences at the University of Chicago, and the Academic Writing Program at Princeton. He is interested in interdisciplinary research with a focus on sociology of work, labor and environment. Prof. Amit is the faculty representative for Social Sciences in the Integrated Studies Program. He has been inspired by the systematic approach of STEM disciplines and the aesthetic vision of Humanities.
