Prof. Urooj Khan

Prof. Urooj Khan is a professor of accounting and the Deloitte & Touche Centennial Faculty Fellow in accounting at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. He is also a member of the Small Business Advisory Committee of the Financial Accounting Standards Board. He researches issues involving financial institutions, financial crises, debt contracting, regulatory enforcement, and accounting standard-setting. His work has been published in leading accounting and economics journals, and he has received many awards. He is an editor of The Accounting Review and an associate editor at Management Science. He serves on the editorial boards of Contemporary Accounting Research and the Journal of Financial Intermediation.
